Pioneers Press is a publishing house and small-press distro focusing on survival and sustainability on the farm and in the city, in addition to health, gender, sexuality, social justice and food movements, and a cruelty-free lifestyle. We release titles seasonally and work with domestic printers to use low-impact and sustainable production.

Here are the folks who work here:
Jessie Duke owns Pioneers Press and handles author scouting, new title acquisition, manuscript review, zine ordering and inventory management out on the Hard 50 Farm. The Hard 50 Farm is home to a rag-tag group of rescue animals including sheep, goats, and ducks who are supported by sales from Pioneers Press. Contact Jessie if you have questions about submitting your zine or manuscript, or would like an internship in our Kansas office!
Thaddeus Christian works out of the Hard Fifty Farmhouse office handling all-things finance. If you have questions about an invoice he's the guy to talk to!
Sarah Tabor is our database manager and works remotely handling back-end website stuff. She lives and works in Okinawa (but we really hope she'll move back to the States soon). Contact Sarah to update your mailing address in our system.
Elizabeth Thompson is our wholesale rep and manages our press department. When she's not working for Pioneers Press, she's out working on her Southern California urban homestead. Contact Elizabeth to set up a wholesale account, place wholesale orders, set up an interview with one of our authors, or to receive press copies of our books!
Big thanks to Matt Gauck for the current web design!
